Jenga Drinking Game – Rules and Commands for Drunk Jenga
Write drinking commands on the blocks, pull carefully – and whoever topples the tower has to empty their glass!
How to play:
- Grab a regular Jenga set and write a drinking command on every block with a marker or permanent marker.
- Build the tower the normal way: three blocks per level, stacked crosswise.
- Players take turns pulling out one block at a time, using only one hand.
- Whoever pulls the block reads the command out loud and carries it out immediately.
- Place the block on top of the tower and pass the turn to the next player.
- Whoever topples the tower has to finish their drink (chug!) – and rebuild the tower.
Examples of commands for the blocks:
- Take 2 sips – drink two sips yourself.
- Give out 3 sips – hand out three sips however you like.
- All girls drink – the ladies take a sip.
- All guys drink – the gents take a sip.
- Make a rule – invent a rule that lasts for the rest of the round.
- Waterfall – everyone drinks until the person to their left stops.
- Pick a drinking buddy – the two of you drink the same for the rest of the game.
- Thumb master – the last person to put their thumb on the table drinks.
- Cheers with the person on your left – the two of you take a sip together.
- Switch seats – swap seats with any player you choose.
- Categories – pick a category; whoever can't think of a word drinks.
- Never have I ever – ask one "never have I ever" question.
- Drink if you're driving tonight… just kidding, everyone drinks
- Skip a turn – you get to skip your next pull.
- Pull two blocks in a row – you have to pull one more time.
- The oldest drinks – the most seasoned of the year takes a sip.
- The youngest drinks – the night's freshest face takes a sip.

How to play the Jenga Drinking Game
The Jenga drinking game – also known as drunk jenga or "Drunk Jenga" – is the perfect twist on the classic. Instead of a plain old tower, you write a drinking command on every single block. Every time you pull out a block, you have to do whatever it says. That turns each move into a little surprise, and the tension rises the higher and wobblier the tower gets.
The genius of drunk jenga is that you can tailor the commands completely to your crew. Want to keep it chill? Write mostly "take one sip". Want to crank it up? Pile on waterfalls, new rules and drinking buddies. And remember: whoever topples the tower finishes their whole drink and builds it back up for the next round.
Rules
- Write a drinking command on every block before you build the tower.
- Pull with only one hand at a time – no cheating by steadying the tower with two hands.
- Read the command out loud and do it right away before placing the block on top.
- If you topple the tower, you have to finish your drink and rebuild the tower.
- Play responsibly: always keep water and a non-alcoholic option on hand.
