1. Who we are

drikkelek.com is a website offering free browser-based drinking games and party games. This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

2. What data we collect

User account (optional)

You can use almost the entire website without an account. If you create one, we store your email address and an encrypted password, or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google. Accounts are handled by our database provider Supabase.

Game statistics

When you are logged in, we store which games you play and for how long, so you can see your own statistics, badges and leaderboard position. This information is linked to your account.

Purchases

Payments for premium content are processed by Stripe. We never store your card number or other payment details – we only store a record of which games your account has unlocked.

Local storage in your browser

Settings and game progress (e.g. which packs you have opened) are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent to us.

3. Cookies and advertising

We show ads from Google AdSense to keep the website free. The following applies:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info.

Visitors in the EEA/EU and the UK are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, in accordance with the GDPR.

4. How we use the data

• Providing and operating the service (login, statistics, purchased games)
• Showing you your own game history and progress
• Completing and confirming purchases
• Responding to messages you send us
• Showing ads that fund the free content

We never sell your personal data.

5. Legal basis

We process personal data under Article 6 of the GDPR: contract (providing your account and purchases), consent (personalized advertising) and legitimate interest (basic operation and security).

6. Who we share data with

• Supabase – database and authentication (account data and game statistics)
• Stripe – payment processing for purchases
• Google – advertising (AdSense) and Google sign-in if you choose it

These providers process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements and privacy policies.

7. Data retention

Account data and game statistics are stored for as long as you have an account with us. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete it, your data is removed. Purchase records may be kept for as long as accounting legislation requires.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure ("the right to be forgotten")
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Age requirement

drikkelek.com is aimed at adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal drinking age in your country) to use the website, and the content concerns alcohol – drink responsibly.

10. Changes

We may update this privacy policy when needed. Significant changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
