How to play
- Write down a celebrity, character or person on a sticky note.
- Stick the note on your neighbour's forehead (without them seeing).
- The one with the note on their forehead asks yes/no questions to the rest of the table.
- Can they guess who they are within 20 questions? → They hand out 5 sips!
- If they CAN'T → they drink 5 sips themselves!
- Bonus: After each question where everyone says NO → the guesser takes a sip!

- Start with broad questions – "Am I a real person?" / "Am I a fictional character?"
- Use category questions: "Am I an athlete?" / "Am I an actor?"
- When you're close, use who-questions: "Am I Norwegian?" / "Am I male?"
- Remember: 20 questions is not a lot – be strategic!

Frequently asked questions about Who Am I
What are good characters to use?
The best characters are well-known enough for everyone to recognise them, but specific enough to be challenging. Celebrities like Erling Haaland, film characters like Darth Vader, or historical figures like Cleopatra work great.
How many questions can you ask per turn?
The standard rule is a maximum of 20 questions in total. Some play with one round where everyone asks questions at once, while others let one player ask all 20 questions in a row.
What happens if you never manage to guess?
After 20 questions without a correct answer, the player drinks 5 sips and the note is revealed. Everyone laughs, and the next person takes their turn with a new note on their forehead.
How many players does the game suit?
Who Am I works best with 3–8 players. With too many players it can be a long wait between turns.
Can you play without alcohol?
Yes! Use a points system: the one who guesses fastest (fewest questions) gets the most points. The one with the lowest score at the end of the round has to complete a challenge.
