Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between World mode and Norway mode?
In World mode you use countries from around the world, while Norway mode is limited to Norwegian cities and towns. Norway mode is harder and suits those who want to test local knowledge.
Can you use districts or regions?
By default only countries (World mode) or cities/towns (Norway mode) are valid. The group can of course extend the rules to include districts if they wish.
What happens with words that end on letters that are hard to start with?
That's part of the challenge! Words ending in X, Q or Z can make the next turn extra difficult. Fail within 5 seconds and you drink.
Can you use words with special letters like Æ, Ø and Å?
Yes – Norwegian letters are fully valid, and words starting with Æ, Ø and Å are accepted in both modes.
What if there is a disagreement about whether a place is valid?
The group decides. If the majority thinks the place is unknown or questionable, they can vote for the player to drink. A quick Google check resolves most disputes.
