How to play:
- Draw a random topic by pressing "New topic".
- Start with the letter A – everyone says one word beginning with A within the topic.
- Next round: the letter B. Continue through the alphabet like this.
- Anyone who can't think of a word within 5 seconds drinks 3 sips.
- Rare letters like X, C and Q can be skipped!
- The winner is the one who has drunk the least!
How to play the Alphabet Drinking Game
A category is chosen (e.g. "countries", "food" or "artists"). Players take turns saying something within the category that starts with the next letter of the alphabet: A, B, C, D... Anyone who can't say something within 5 seconds drinks 3 sips.
Use the "New topic" button to draw a random topic, and the "Next letter" button to advance. Rare letters like X, C and Q can be skipped.

- Choose a category and start at the letter A – work through the alphabet in turn.
- Time limit per turn: 5 seconds – if you can't answer, you drink 3 sips.
- You cannot repeat answers already used in the round.
- X, Y, Q and C can be skipped – or award bonus sips to the brave soul who tries.
- All letters are mandatory – no skipping allowed for the rest!

Which categories work best in the Alphabet Game?
Popular categories include: countries, animals, food, musicians, movies, TV series and celebrities. Avoid overly narrow categories – it's hard to find words for every letter.
What happens with the letters X, Y and Z?
X, Y, Q and C can be skipped in most variants. Alternatively: anyone who manages a valid answer on these letters can hand out 3 sips to whoever they choose.
What is the time limit per turn?
The standard time limit is 5 seconds. You can make it harder with 3 seconds or easier with 10 seconds. Count aloud or use a countdown to keep the pace up.
How many players does the Alphabet Game work for?
The Alphabet Game works best with 3–8 players. With fewer than 3 it goes too fast, and with many players you can wait a long time between turns.
Can you play the Alphabet Game without alcohol?
Yes! Anyone who can't say a word can do a forfeit, eat something unpleasant, or collect "penalty points" that lead to consequences at the end of the game.
